K.I.S.S.........A Mantra To Explore

K.I.S.S., or as it is written out in its non-acronym form, Keep It Simple Stupid, is something I try to put into practice more and more lately.  Below are a few examples of where I just put my Olympus camera into one of the Art Filter modes and enjoyed the simple side of photography.

Stop worrying about being technical and start worrying about emotion, experience, and the decisive moment.

The decisive moment captured with my OM-D E-M10 set to the Grainy Film Art Filter and using the 25mm f/1.8. Here it was all about capturing the essence of what it means to be 8 years old again.

Talk about simple. 9mm bodycap lens on the E-M10 in Grainy Film Art Filter mode. No need to focus, no need to worry about ISO, just compose to make a statement and shoot. Easy.

It really doesn't get any less technical than using a point and shoot camera. All you need is the vision for your scene, and a finger to push the button. Shot with the Olympus TOUGH TG-850 once again in the Grainy Film Art Filter mode.

And one last shot where keeping settings simple made finding the important moments easy. Shot with the Olympus OM E-M1 and Rokinon 7.5mm Fisheye, and the Dramatic Tone Art Filter. The fisheye meant I could set the aperture at f/8, focus to infinity, and that's it. No need to re-focus for anything I shot that day. Just find the scene..And shoot it.
